Rhonda, in the days of chef celebrity it's becoming easier to distinguish the difference of a chef who starts a restaurant by name, Roy Yamaguchi, Charlie Trotter, Emeril, to name a few, and those who are the living, breathing chef d'cuisine. Good for you, good for Michael... say hi to Dave for me.

This sounds fantastic. I don't think I've ever visited the "Red Neck Riviera" although we did live in Winter Park, FL for 18 mo. While living in FL, we mostly ate at Hops - the key lime pie is sublime and at various BBQ places. High cuisine was not on our radar screen. The most memorable meal I've eaten lately was at the San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, CA. Unbelievable filet, black truffle gratin, port demi glace. The hotel itself is absolutely divine.

I miss Michael and his incredible food! I am a big fan and was a frequent diner of his when he was in New Orleans --- Where Michael cooked I ate -- Indigo, the Cellar and 7 on Fulton. Can't wait to head to Florida for another great meal!!!

I went to school with Michael and am thrilled that you all love his food. I remember when it was still just a dream of his. I wish I lived in New Orleans or now Florida and could sample his dishes. If anyone gets to Florida and has the pleasure of seeing him....tell him Christine from back home says HI.
